Established in 2000 the International Review of Bipolar Disorders (IRBD) is the world's largest and most successful annual Bipolar Disorders event.
The aim of the IRBD is for experts to provide review summaries of progress in Bipolar Disorders research to an audience of clinically orientated physicians. The event attracts upwards of 60 of the world's best Bipolar experts to speak each year.
IRBD is growing year-on-year and there are two conferences taking place over the next year:
IRBD Asia Pacific
In an exciting new venture the first IRBD Regional Congress, IRBD Asia Pacific, will take place in Hong Kong from 24 to 26 November 2008.
Building on the success of the IRBD conferences, this regional conference will be chaired by Prof Allan Young (CA) & Dr Erin Michalak (CA) and the programme will feature leading speakers from across the world.

The IRBD has seen significant developments made in the recognition of Bipolar Disorders on both an academic and international level. To further increase this research and exploration for knowledge, the meeting has become the annual meeting for the European Bipolar Forum (EBF).
The EBF provides the basis for individuals or national organisations to form like-minded international groups, and to drive common objectives and research projects.
Data from IRBD conference is written up and published in the society journal Aspects of Affect .
